Ombudsman Association 2017 Conference: Holding Up A Mirror

Burleigh Court Conference Centre

Loughborough University

25-26 May 2017

Delegates are invited to register for the Ombudsman Association’s conference, which will take place on 25 and 26 May 2017 at the Burleigh Court Conference Centre at Loughborough University, LE11 3GR.  The conference centre is just 8 miles from East Midlands Airport and trains from London St Pancras to Loughborough take around 70 minutes.

Delegates will have the opportunity to hear from the key note speakers Linnea Gandhi and Tom Blaser, experienced behavioural science practitioners, who have worked with Daniel Kahneman, Professor Richard H Thaler, and numerous Fortune 500 companies. Plenary sessions and workshops will touch on, amongst other things, informal resolution, increasing impact, quality assurance, measuring and reporting on performance against service standards, and creating the culture to succeed. We have also secured Sir Emyr Jones Parry, former UK Ambassador to the UN and former Permanent Representative to NATO, as the after dinner speaker.

The conference will commence with registration and networking at 9.00am on Thursday 25 May and will end at 2.10pm on Friday 26 May, and we have managed to keep delegate rates for members at the same level as in 2015.  The Association’s Annual Meeting for 2017, to which all conference delegates are also invited, will take place before the conference on 25 May from 10.00am.

Due to the early start on 25 May, delegates are encouraged to arrive on Wednesday evening and a fee for the two day/two night residential conference is £624 (including VAT) for staff of member schemes, and £744 (including VAT) for non-members.  For those who are unable to arrive on the Wednesday evening, a two day/one night option is available.

Please go to the online registration which includes workshop preferences and accommodation/dietary/access requirements.

Your place is not confirmed until payment has been received. To avoid disappointment please register before 21 April.
