A new deal for social housing – MHCLG

The Ombudsman Association welcomes the intention of the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government to strengthen redress in social housing.  

The ‘democratic filter’ should be removed as a matter of urgency to reinstate direct access to the Housing Ombudsman and there should be a mandatory requirement on landlords to signpost to the Ombudsman.
