Public Service Ombudsman consultation

The Ombudsman Association agrees that the reform of public services ombudsman schemes should be underpinned by the principles of making it more accessible for citizens, being accountable to Parliament, not Government, and providing value for money.   

The Association supports the simplification of redress for citizens in England through the creation of a single public services ombudsman, mirroring the approach taken in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
