We’re excited to share that full registration for the 2026 Conference is now officially open! This year’s event, themed ‘Rising to the Challenge’ promises to be a thought-provoking experience. If you haven’t yet secured your spot, now is the time to register and select your preferred workshops.

Important Registration Information:
- Whether you have pre-booked via the Early Bird route or not, all attendees must complete individual registrations now.
- During the registration process, you will also select the breakout sessions and whether you wish to attend the summer workshop, so be sure to review the programme in advance.
Summer Workshop: Use of Technology / AI (9 June, 15:00–17:00)
This pre-conference workshop will explore the latest developments and adoption of AI, and how Members including smaller offices are using AI and other technology to increase effectiveness.
Civic Reception
We are grateful to the Lord Provost and Glasgow City Council for hosting a civic reception as part of the conference dinner, due to be held on the second night, 10 June 2026.
Programme Highlights
We have an exciting programme lined up across 10–11 June, featuring thought-provoking plenary sessions, engaging discussions, and expert-led breakout sessions.
Plenary Sessions & some breakouts will cover:
- Perceptions of Procedural Fairness – Small changes that can significantly increase fairness and deliver wider benefits (incl. use of AI)
- Demonstrating Impact – Ed Dallas outlines / Results of feasibility study in developing an approach to measure and evidence impact of ombudsman schemes
- Regaining / Maintaining Trust – Rebuilding trust after failings around governance, complaints handling, or effectiveness have occurred
- Can the Ombudsman model survive? – How ombudsman schemes can remain relevant / retain relevance in a time when redress is expected to be instantaneous
- Making the case for reform – Members share lessons from their campaigns for reform, mistakes, and what worked, with input from FOS and Scottish Legal Complaints Commission.
