Important: The Ombudsman Association (OA) is not an ombudsman office. We cannot review or investigate complaints from the public and we do not deal with complaints about the service or decisions of our members.
The OA is a membership body that supports and promotes Ombudsman schemes and Complaint Handler Members. We are not able to provide legal or consumer advice.
Looking for help with a complaint?
- Please visit our Find an Ombudsman page for contact details of our members, who may be able to help.
- Unfortunately, there are some areas of consumer goods and services where there is not an ombudsman scheme. For advice and information on consumer rights you should contact:
- In the UK: www.citizensadvice.org.uk
- In Ireland: www.citizensinformationboard.ie
Want to complain about a member organisation and/or their service?
- All members of the OA have in place a process that you can use to complain about the level of service you have received. Information on that process and how to access it will be publicly available on their website, including information on what to do if you are unhappy with their decision. You’ll need to contact them directly using the details on our Find an Ombudsman page.
- Please note: The OA has no role in our members’ day-to-day activities and does not deal with complaints about their handling of cases, or their decisions.
