Charlee joined the Ombudsman Association in January 2024 as Communications Manager, leading the OA’s communications and engagement strategy. She manages external communications, content creation, and management of the OA’s social media channels, including the That OA Thing podcast, the OA website, newsletters and news items. She successfully launched Seasons 2 and 3 of the OA podcasts during her tenure.

Charlee oversees revamping membership networks, producing the annual report and Guide to Ombudsman Offices in the UK, while raising the organisation’s online presence and profile through content creation (photography, videography, and content production) on social media and publishing external consultations.

Previously, Charlee worked at the UK Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO), helping to set up the Outreach Team and leading on project management, events, research, and stakeholder engagement. She established an International Community of Practice for global stakeholders and a UK Working Group for Regional and National Stakeholders to share best practice and cross-intelligence.

She has clinical, forensic, and research experience with the NHS, Prison Service, ONS, and Public Health England. Charlee holds a BA (Hons) in Applied Psychology and Criminology (2:1), an MSc in Investigative Psychology (1st class), and completed a Graduate Skills in Counselling course in April 2025.
