Members’ Early Bird Launch: 2026 OA Conference in Glasgow
We’re pleased to announce that early bird pre-booking for the highly anticipated 2026 OA Conference is now open. This year’s theme, ‘Rising to the Challenge’, promises insightful discussions and valuable takeaways for all attendees.
The conference will take place in the heart of Glasgow from 9-11 June 2026, at the Voco Grand Central (next to Grand Central train station). Located in the heart of the city centre, the venue offers excellent transport links and easy access to Glasgow’s cultural, architectural, and culinary highlights.
Early Bird Pre-Booking is Now Open – book now
Members can now secure the discounted Early Bird rate by pre-booking places by Midday on 13 March 2026.
- To make the most of this offer, simply decide how many places you’d like to pre-book and choose the appropriate packages.
- After you have pre-booked, delegate names can be provided when full registration opens in April 2026, allowing flexibility for your organisation.
- Bed and Breakfast and all meals are included in Packages A-C and will be booked by the Ombudsman Association directly.

Over the two days there will be sessions on the key challenges across the ombudsman landscape, including:
- Professor Joe Tomlinson on perceptions of fair process
- Research into how best to measure and demonstrate impact
- Implementing efficiencies
- The challenges of AI
- How to address complaints in a broken system
- Adopting a rights-based approach and
- Using technology to increase effectiveness.
Summer Workshop: Use of Technology / AI - 15:00-17:00, 9 June 2026
The Summer Workshop will take place before the conference opens, providing the opportunity to hear how Members are using AI and other technology to increase effectiveness.
Networking Dinner - 9 June 2025
- This dinner follows the Summer Workshop and provides time to connect with colleagues in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
Conference Dinner - 10 June 2025
We’re delighted to host this year’s conference dinner in the iconic City Chambers Banqueting Hall, renowned for its ornate Victorian architecture and grand interiors. The venue is just a short 10-minute walk from the Hotel.

If your organisation requires a Purchase Order (PO) number on the invoice
If your organisation needs to generate a PO number before booking, please email OAsupport@ombudsmanassociation.org in advance. We will provide a quote so you can raise your PO, and you can then proceed with your booking once your PO number is confirmed.
Travel Information
- Air travel: Glasgow Airport is located approximately 15-20 minutes from City Centre by taxi or bus, and around 50 minutes from Edinburgh Airport.
- Rail: The hotel is within walking distance of both Glasgow Central Station (next door, literally) and Queen Street Station, with frequent services from across the UK. Note: The Rover ticket must be collected from a station.
