Tony is the Senior Lead Clinician at the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO). He is a GP in Bolton and continues to work in clinical practice. Tony has over 30 years’ experience in the NHS, originally training as a nurse before going to medical school in Manchester. At PHSO Tony leads the clinical advice function, overseeing the provision of clinical advice given in the health-related complaints the organisation receives. He is also involved in the Insight reports PHSO publish that highlight systemic issues in healthcare and their impact on patient safety.
