Celebrating Success: The Ombuds Group Named One of the UK’s Best Places to Work 2025

We’re delighted to share some exciting news from The Ombuds Group - we’ve been officially recognised as one of the Sunday Times Best Places to Work in 2025.
This national recognition celebrates outstanding employers across the UK who demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace culture, staff wellbeing, inclusion, and the overall employee experience. What makes this award particularly meaningful is that it’s based entirely on feedback from our own team, gathered through an independent staff survey.
At The Ombuds Group, our people are at the heart of everything we do — whether they’re resolving disputes, raising standards, supporting consumers and businesses, or working behind the scenes to ensure smooth operations. Being named a Best Place to Work is a proud reflection of the culture we’ve built together.
The Sunday Times highlighted several reasons for our inclusion this year. These included:
- Our 32-hour working week and optional four-day schedule, designed to promote a healthy work–life balance
- A range of staff benefits, including private medical healthcare, up to 34 days’ annual leave, birthdays off, and performance reward vouchers
- A focus on professional development, including support for Chartered Institute of Arbitrators membership and specialist training
- A strong sense of purpose and organisational pride among our colleagues
Our Chief Executive and Chief Ombudsman, Kevin Grix, commented:
“This award is a reflection of the people who make our organisation what it is. We are proud to have built a workplace that not only delivers high-quality outcomes for consumers and businesses, but also supports, listens to, and values its employees. Being recognised by The Sunday Times as a Best Place to Work is a real milestone for The Ombuds Group – and we are delighted.”
The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025 celebrates the UK’s top 500 employers across all sectors and organisation sizes. It also recognises those who go above and beyond in supporting women, LGBTQIA+ employees, disabled colleagues, ethnic minorities, and workers of all ages.
We’re proud to be included in such esteemed company and look forward to marking this achievement with the wider sector in the coming weeks.
